CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Three Bowie State University football players earnd CIAA weekly honors for week #1 as selected by the conference's head coaches and Sports Information Directors on Tuesday afternoon. Senior Victor Tamba, Jr. (District Heights, Md.) was named Offensive of the Week while junior Amir Hall (Bowie, Md.) was tabbed Quarterback of the Week and fellow junior Lansana Sesay (Baltimore, Md.) was selected Receiver of the Week.

Tamba was huge up front for Bowie State, helping the Bulldogs amass 599 yards in total offense in their 48-7 season opening win at Seton Hill. Hall torched the Seton Hill defense for 361 passing yards, completing 23-of-26 passes (no Interceptions) and five touchdowns and rushed for 50 yards and scored one touchdown. Sesay had an outstanding debut in the Bowie State season opener, hauling in a game-high seven receptions for a game-high 148 yards (longest of 58) and scored one touchdown.
Bowie State will hit the road for the second week in a row, traveling to Winston-Salem (N.C.) State University for a non-conference clash against the defending CIAA Champions at 4 p.m. in Bowman Gray Stadium.
